Any excuse to party with the wife, in my opinion. In my case, with the wife and daughter. We always go out to dinner, and tonight we'll be playing the inaugural Valentine's Day game of Mystery Date, which we just purchased for my daughter. I'm very excited!
A friend of mine once said Valentine's Day was the third leg of the "depressing holiday trifecta for single people" - i.e. Thanksgiving / Christmas / Valentine's Day.
Pretty much. And it doesn't help they are all in cold weather months, so you're more apt (at least in most parts of the country) to be inside watching TV more and thus see the depressing advertising.
I tell ya, normally I don't celebrate but this year I really am having great fun with this holiday.
ReplyDeleteCheers and boogie boogie.

DeleteMystery Date, now that is very cool. What a great way to spend the day.
DeleteHappy VD? That's both oddly appropriate and profoundly disturbing.
ReplyDeleteIn any case, I like 'Happy Singles Awareness Day' for the un-paired among us.
