PARS FORTUNA Covers - Redux

A commenter on the last post I made about the potential covers for PARS FORTUNA didn't like the font, and I think he had a valid criticism. So ... How do these look?

  1. Nice - has a bit of a sci-fi feel about it at first glance, but maybe that's just me.

  2. I like 'em. Although I can see Flea's point about it almost having a Sci-Fi feel.

  3. Looks fine and dandy to me, simple and clear that things might be a little different from straight up D&Desque FRPG.

  4. It looks better than the last cover. I like it. Question: if I buy the Complete version, do I get everything in Basic as well?

  5. Yes, which is why I decided to call it "complete" rather than "advanced". The idea is that the Basic book will have four of the playable race/classes (the ones on the cover) from level 1 to 4 with the low level monsters, spells and treasures included and all of the alternate rules. This will be a free download, to give people a taste of the product. The complete book has all 12 of the race/classes, all the spells, magic items, monsters, etc. and will be sold as a PDF and print-on-demand book from Lulu.com. Not sure of the prices yet, but probably a $7 download and $15 book.

  6. Greatly relieved to see this new layout. To sprinkle in a touch of fantasy, consider replacing the underscore line with a slender item silhouette (pointy polearm, magic staff, arcane belt).

  7. Another good idea. I have a gaggle of pole arm silhouettes from an article I did in NOD. Thanks!
